Creating Meaningful Community for Adults with Autism

First class, safe residential housing at reasonable rates for adults on the Autism Spectrum, with comprehensive support services and community connection.

"I could just grieve him terribly forever, which I will, or I could also redirect that pain and loss into something meaningful, purposeful and positive."
Michael Dinda, Chairman & President

Providing More Than Just Housing

Johnnie's Place offers first class residential housing and comprehensive support services for adults diagnosed with and on the Autism Spectrum.

Safe Housing

First class, safe residential housing at reasonable market rates for 1-2 adults with consolidated Medicaid waiver support.

Community Connection

Social, recreational and vocational activities both within the dwelling and in the local community through partnerships with local businesses and organizations.

Comprehensive Support

Professional staffing, caretaking, and support services with training for families and caregivers of residents and house members.

A Blueprint for Community Care

Johnnie's Place is being designed step by step to create a model that others can replicate. Each house established by the organization will serve 2-5 additional "house" members, providing a true community experience.

The residents will be charged market rent, and house members and residents will be charged an annual membership and activity fee as stipulated by the organization. In addition, the organization will provide support and training for the family and caretakers of the residents and house members.

"It will take time and it will be built step by step over years, but that's okay. We just have to plant the seeds, water them, nurture them."
